Autodesk 3ds Max, formerly 3D Studio, then 3D Studio Max is a professional 3D computer graphics program for making 3D animations, models, games and images. It is developed and produced by Autodesk Media and Entertainment. It has modeling capabilities, a flexible plug-in architecture and can be used on the Microsoft Windows platform. It is frequently used by video game developers, many TV commercial studios and architectural visualization studios. It is also used for movie effects and movie pre-visualization. To its modeling and animation tools, the latest version of 3ds Max also features shaders (such as ambient occlusion and subsurface scattering), dynamic simulation, particle systems, radiosity, normal map creation and rendering, global illumination, a customizable user interface, and its own scripting language.
3ds Max is advance level course, you need to learn many basic graphics and mathematical concepts. If you don’t know about what is animation, plane, rotating and all other basic things related mathematic terminology then you must have to learn.
In this course we have covered topics like interface introduction, creating objects, modify objects, project folder, navigation, shading modes, viewport config, units and grids, lighting.
Above are the concepts which tells little bit about 3ds Max. Still there are many things to be learn because this is very huge software. You can learn at http://docs.autodesk.com/MAXDES/16/ENU/3ds-Max-Design-Tutorials/
