Adobe After Effects

Adobe After Effects is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application developed by Adobe Systems and used in the post-production process of filmmaking and television production. Among other things, After Effects can be used for keying, tracking, rotoscoping, compositing and animation. It also functions as a very basic non-linear editor, audio editor and media transcoder.

After effects is very powerful software, it has many uses; most of film industry uses this software post production purpose. Using after effects you can add VFX and motion graphics to your video. Learning After effects is not very easy task to do. It’s very complex software.

In this course we have tried to cover essential and basic things. We have covered topics like User interface of after effects, creating new composition, customizing workspace and importing files, setting preferences, object properties and timeline panel, basic tools, working with layers, creating and animating objects, rendering clips and images, parenting layers and anchor points, advanced parenting controls, working with text, applying basic effects, masking, masking properties, working with 3d layer.

So there are some concepts we have covered. These are very basic level topics, there are huge amount of content to be learned. Adobe provides free guide to beginners.
